Advanced Exporting

By default, Plottr will export all of your data to Word and Scrivener, but the Advanced Export tool gives you the ability to customize it so you’re only exporting the information you need.

With Advanced Export, you can pick what to export from the following categories:

  • General (Title Page)
  • Outline
  • Characters
  • Places
  • Notes

To use Advanced Export to transfer your Plottr data:

  1. Click the "Export" button on the Timeline or Outline toolbar
  2. Click "Advanced" in the dropdown menu
  3. Toggle MS Word or Scrivener in the top right of new menu that appears
  4. Toggle the checkboxes for the categories or individual elements you wish to include in the export
  5. With your options selected, click the green arrow to export

If you’d like to save your Advanced Export preferences for the future, you can do so by keeping the "Save Settings" enabled at the bottom left of the window.
